SERGEY KONDRASHIN,
Bio
Born in Riga, Latvia, where he’s got special professional education. Started his photographic career in 1984. Worked in Moscow, Russia in 1998-2001. Since 2001 till present owns one of the best professionally equipped photo studios in Riga. Since 2006 publishes his own magazine Calendar.lv dedicated to his personal creative projects. Married, in March 2007 became a happy father of his first daughter.
Experience
Sergey Kondrashin is equally famous in artistic & advertising field. His artistic vision gives him a major advantage while making commercial advertising. He does not just technically implement creator’s or stylist’s ideas like the majority of photographers do, but usually he is a creator, a stylist & a photographer himself – all in one.
Kondrashin’s main fields are: art, underwater photography, celebrity portraits, fashion photography, erotic photography, interior & architecture photography.
Sergey prefers classic photography, especially black & white. He thinks that his young colleagues overuse Photoshop to make their pictures more vivd while he demonstrates rare in our days skill to make pure qualitative old school photo that needs no improvement.
Sergey Kondrashin is often invited to judge various photographer’s contests.
Kondrashin doesn’t just shoot celebrities – in Latvia he’s kind of celebrity himself. Photos of him & his wife are often seen in fashion magazines. In 2007 he was one of 37 VIP’s (including the President of Latvia) who has got famous Pirelli calendar as a present.
